melissa + gabriel | coral gables wedding

I met Melissa a few years back as she was the bridesmaid to one of my past brides.  Her and Gaby came to see me once they had their venue so that together we could continue the planning process.  Unfortunately, a few months after they had contracted me they lost their venue and had to start all over again.  This time they visisted Tropical Fairchild Gardens and immediately fell in love with the Gardens and the ballroom.  Melissa wanted a white wedding.  Modern, elegant, chic and both her and Gaby agreed that it had to be a “party style” wedding.  No assigned seating, less seats than guests, a great band, delish food stations open all night, lots of drinks and everyone partying was the vision for this wedding. The planning process started and everything fell into place just as Melissa and Gaby had envisioned.  They were in awww with their tasting at Mena’s Catering. I still remember their satisfied expressions as they sampled the food.  The ballroom was beautifully draped to add some touches of white.  The tables were a mix of square tables with small cocktail round tables.  Lucite chiavari chairs to add a modern touch, white benches and ottomans surrounded the dance floor adding a chic lounge look to the room.  Beautiful white phanalopsis (Melissa’s favorite orchids) white hydrangeas and white callas were used in the very simple yet modern centerpieces.  The hardwood floors with all the white accents and beautiful blue uplighting created exactly the look that we wanted and envisioned.

The Ceremony site was breathtaking.  Beautiful mirror square bases adorned with white hydrangeas, callas, rose petals and phanalopsis gathered to create a spectacular focal point for the couple to be married at.  A long white runner was at the center of the isle surrounded by white pomanders to create a beautiful isle for the bridal party and the bride and groom. The gardens were immacutely groomed and served as the perfect ceremony site for this couple.

After the Ceremony guests were transported in very long golf carts to the lower outdoor area of the Visitor’s Center where guests enjoyed a wonderful cocktail hour with live musicians and delicious hors d’oeuvres all while glazing at the beautiful star filled sky.

Later guests were escorted to the ballroom where they were greeting by the amazing sounds of Tartara.  The partying started immediately and lasted til the wee hours of the night.  The bride and groom along with family and friends enjoyed a great hora loca and partied on stage with the band members.  Everyone had an amazing time and Melissa and Gaby could of not been happier.  They expressed how their wedding was exactly what they had always dreamed of and envisioned.

The great vendors that made this dream come true were; Cafe Gabo Events, Gables Linens, It’s A Party, iZoom Video Productions, Just Naivi Hair and Makeup, Lara Rios Photography, Master’s Musicians, Mena Catering, Meilan Limo, Nevot Flowers, Party Liquors, Tartara, Todo Dulces and last but definitely not least Ubi’s Music and Lighting.  I never close a blog without thanking my right hand Nikki for all her hard work and dedication.  A special thank you to my son Brian and his friend Gus who helped guard the Ceremony site.

I have no doubt that Melissa and Gaby will be very happy and I have a feeling will be welcoming little ones to the family very soon! Melissa and Gaby, wishing you both a lifetime of true happiness, much love and many blessings! xoxo
