laura + kris | coconut grove wedding

I met Laura while she was working at my Chiropractor’s office.  Immediately, I noticed how hard working, organized and smart she was.  She was his right and left hand and kept the office running very smoothly.  One day she mentioned she was planning her own wedding and from there we had our first consultation.  Laura’s family accompanied her and Kris to the consultation.  I knew right away that this was a very close family and that not only did she have their unconditional love but their full support.  They understood and appreciated her vision and throughout the planning  journey gave her all of their help.

Laura and Kris had placed a deposit on a venue that they were not to happy with.  We did a venue site tour and immediately found that there might be another event taking place simultaneously to their wedding.    This was unacceptable to them as they wanted their guests to feel that this was their private wedding venue and that for one night it was just theirs to enjoy with family and friends.  I suggested a few venues and immediately she and Kris went to visit them.  They both fell in love with the Coconut Grove Women’s Club.  We were blessed that the day was open and we booked immediately.

Laura and Kris were very excited to have an outdoor and indoor venue with a world renowned chef like Bill Hansen catering their intimate wedding.  The planning journey began and rapidly all vendors were contracted and everything fell into place.  Laura knew exactly what she wanted and how she wanted it.

She had dreamt with this day all her life and it was truly a fairy tale come true for her.  She was very hands on and very detailed.

The Ceremony was held in the beautiful church of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Miami Beach.

Her color palette was purple with silver and accented with some bling.  We were able to carry out her vision and make her dream a reality. I will never forget her expression when she looked at her venue fully lit and set for the guests to enjoy.  She was taken back and started to tear as she was able to see her dream wedding come to life.

This couple was truly blessed! An outdoor cocktail party is not an easy thing to pull off  in the month of June in Coconut Grove.  I was truly worried that it would be very hot and humid.  To my surprise the evening was cool, windy and just beautiful.  It was one of those perfect  nights where you just want to be outdoors and enjoy the beautiful weather.  The food and service was incredible and the guests were delighted with the aroma, presentation and taste. The centerpieces were beautiful and consisted of purple callas, white hydrangeas, silver curly willow, crystals and orchids. A combination of two set of centerpieces were used.  One was taller and stood majestically under the beautiful high wood ceiling and the other arrangement was a bit more modern and lower in height.  The room was lit with many candles and the fireplace was filled with candles giving a beautiful candle glow to the entire room.  The up lighting was in purple and made the room look truly spectacular.

The guests danced the night away and enjoyed a great Hora Loca with stilt walkers and dancers.  Truly an amazing evening and a dream wedding that became a beautiful reality.

A big thank you to all the vendors that made it possible; Card Cottage, Coconut Grove Country Club, DJ Connection (EMG), Filled and Frosted Cakes, Gables Linens, It’s A Party, iZoom Video Productions, Karla Lola Hair and Makeup, Meilan Limo, Nevot Flowers,Simply Captivating Photography and last but not least Sunflower Entertainment.

Laura is now studying to be a Chiropractor.  She and Kris are very happy and will soon be celebrating their first year anniversay.  Wishing them both a lifetime of happiness and success!
