jenny + eric | miami wedding

My first encounter with Jenny was definitely a fated encounter.  She had come to visit the Florist but he was not in.  She then saw my office and to my surprise and embarrassment decided to knock on the door.  I had no other choice but to open.  You see, I was in sweats, hair up, not a drop of makeup and looked like a total mess.  I explained that I was not supposed to be there but had stopped by to pick up something for a wedding that I had to set up for.  Even under these circumstances this sweet bride shared with me her vision for her wedding and explained that she was looking for a “Day Of” coordinator.  To my surprise she agreed to meet with me at a later date and scheduled her consultation.  Jenny, thank you for believing in me and seeing through the mess!!!

I quickly learned that Jenny and Eric were an artsy couple.  They were hands on, creative and very detailed.  This was truly one unique wedding! Half of  the centerpieces consisted of three white lacquer shadow boxes all in different shapes and sizes and inside laid beautifully twisted yellow tulips.  The other half was a spectacular ball of white rose buds with a bouquet of yellow tulips going right through the center.  Nevot Flowers did an amazing job at creating these unique and beautiful table settings.  The bride and groom created their own handmade modern chandeliers and table numbers.  The table numbers were made of glass with white letters and scrolls truly creative and beautiful.   A combination of square and round tables lined with gray pintuck linens and accompanied with beautiful acrylic chiavari chairs to complete the modern look.  The wedding was held at the perfect venue for this kind of inspiration.  The industrial looking Miami Event Space located in Miami, Florida.  The dance floor was created by Ubi’s Music and Lighting.  The gobo’s created a beautiful pattern and marked the dance floor.  The bride and groom’s table was made out of plexi glass and they used a beautiful white couch to sit on. There was a lounge area for guests to enjoy.

This couple is not only artistic but also very tech savvy.  They had an interactive guests seating chart and a live stream photobooth via instagram.  Additionally, pictures of the bride and groom getting ready and ceremony were being displayed during the wedding for all the guests to enjoy.

The beautiful ceremony took place at St. Jude Catholic Church in Brickell.  Following the ceremony guests were greeted Hollywood style at the MES by a walk down a long red carpet surrounded by beautiful large canvas engagement pictures of the bride and groom displayed on easels. The cocktail hour was held outdoors and guests enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres and drinks as they found their table number on an interactive computer screen.  Ubi’s music delighted the guests with wonderful cocktail music.

Inside guests were greeted with two delicious food stations and two grand bars.  The guests danced the night away along with the bride and groom.  At midnight the party was energized by a great hora loca.  Fun party favors were distributed to all the guests and confetti was thrown from the second floor bridge.  If all this was not enough there was a great churro and cafecito station outdoors where guests could enjoy a little snack before leaving for the night. As favors they gave each guest an adorable white ceramic cuban coffee cup and saucer set.

A well thought out and planned wedding catered to make their guests feel right at home and enjoy the night away!

This would not have been possible without the great vendors that made this wedding a reality.  A big thank you to; Amelia and Carmen Catering, Blo Brickell, Coffee Couture Sweets, Grace Pereira Cake, Hitched Rentals, Hitched Wedding Films,  Interactive Unit Credelis, LCL Premier Parking, Master Sound Production, Maira Miceli, Nevot Flowers, Padrino Limousine and last but not least Studio by Carmen.  A big shout out to my assitant Nikki!
