danae + chris | coconut grove wedding

Danae and Chris were living in New York City when they first contracted with me for their wedding. Danae was truly a hands on bride if I’ve ever met one. Very organized and detailed with a very calm and peaceful demeanor but mostly filled with love and passion. We met for their tasting at one of my favorite venues; Grove Isle and from there it was very smooth sailing. Danae and Chris were both on the same page as far as their special day wishes and priorities. Number one was family and traditions, number two that all guests felt welcomed and truly enjoyed their stay and the wedding. They printed beautiful itineraries for their guests with favorite restaurants, places of interest, shopping guide and a little history about the two of them. Definitely a great touch when hosting out of town guests. Their dream became a reality with the help of many wonderful vendors. The ceremony took place at Plymouth Congregational Church followed by a beautiful cocktail hour at Grove Isle’s outdoor terrace. Guests were then escorted to the ballroom that was beautifully decorated with special touches that Danae and Chris added to their wedding. The bars had signs that read “Pure Life” in Spanish “Pura Vida” representing Danae’s Latin heritage and in Filipino “Mabuhay” means “long live” and “Slainte” means “health” in Irish representing Chris’ heritage. The lovely flower arrangments were provided by Flowers by Carol. Danae and Chris used the beautiful Irish goblets that Chris’ parents used on their wedding day as in keeping with their number one priority “family and tradition”. Chris’ brothers and Danae’s sister delivered very touching and funny speeches. Both Danae and Chris along with their family and friends danced the night away! Truly a wonderful wedding filled with much love from their family and friends!

A special thank you to; American Coach, DJ Connection, ET Cakes, Flowers by Carol, Grove Isle Hotel & Spa, Hair by Jessica Garganta, Makeup by Judy Irizary, Meilan Limo, My Treasure Films and last but definitely not least UDS Photography who captured these special memories.
